报告简介:

    Cognitive map is a mental representation of environment, with the feature of viewpoint-independent. It can be used to locate position, reorientation, and compute distance. Cognitive map plays an important role in our daily life. Cognitive map captures metric information (length, angle, direction, and sense) from spatial environments. To what extent can human use length information in navigation remains to be determined. We used a virtual modified radial armed maze to explore whether or how human adults use length information to form cognitive map in a relative complex and closed environment. Three experiments suggested that people could use unique length feature to structure cognitive map of the radial armed maze, but show difficulties in using length relations. The present results are inconsistent with previous studies, as we used a more complex environment, indicating the coding of length information in complex environment may not be as naturally as other environmental features.

    王琪,女,中山大学心理学系讲师,硕士生导师。2005年,浙江大学心理学系,理学学士,2008年,西南大学心理学院,教育学硕士;2013年,美国塔夫莰大学心理学系,哲学博士。2013年-今,中山大学心理学系讲师。研究领域:空间认知,人机交互。黎婉秋,中山大学心理学系2015级在读硕士研究生。
