1.Prof. Siu Oi Ling  (香港岭南大学应用心理学系)

Title: Head of Department of Applied Psychology; Professor

Descriptions: Prof. Siu Oi-ling is Professor and Head of Department of Applied Psychology, and is Programme Director of Master of Science in Work and Organizational Psychology Programme in Lingnan University. Prof. Siu received her PhD in Occupational and Organizational Psychology from The University of Liverpool in 1999. Prof. Siu has extensive research and consultancy experience in the field of occupational health psychology, particularly in occupational stress, psychology of safety, and work-family/life balance. She has been recognized as one of the Top 25 work-family scholars in the world (Google Scholar, May 2017).  Prof. Siu has published 77 journal articles and 22 book chapters. Currently, Prof. Siu is the Editor of International Journal of Stress management and Associate Editor of Journal of Occupational Health Psychology, both are APA journals. Prof. Siu is also the Guest Professor of School of Psychology, Beijing Normal University, and Guest Professor of School of Psychology, Nanjing Normal University.

2.Prof. Simon Li(香港岭南大学应用心理学系)

Title: Assistant Professor

Presentation topic: Supporting clinician’s attention with auditory displays

Descriptions: Dr. Simon Y. W. Li received his PhD from University College London (UCL Interaction Centre) and carried out his postdoctoral research at University of New South Wales, Sydney (Centre for Health Informatics). He is a cognitive psychologist specialised in human factors. His research is focused on the cognitive aspect of human interactive behavior in using technology with an emphasis on medical settings. His current research interests include auditory displays in healthcare and assessing the impact of technology of anaesthetists’ work performance.

 

3.Prof. Vivian Lun(香港岭南大学应用心理学系)

Title: Assistant Professor, Department of Applied Psychology, Lingnan University

Presentation topic: Learning about subjective well-being using the World Values Survey

Descriptions: Vivian obtained her Ph.D. from the School of Psychology and the Centre for Applied Cross-Cultural Research at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. She joined Lingnan University in August 2011. Her research interest includes cross-cultural psychology, social psychology and education, with particular interests in topics such as religion and spirituality, thinking skills and styles. This presentation is an overview of her learning experience in her work on subjective well-being using the World Values Survey (http://www.worldvaluessurvey.org/WVSContents.jsp), which consists of nationally representative surveys conducted in almost 100 countries with almost 400,000 respondents.

 

4.Prof. Victoria Yeung(香港岭南大学应用心理学系)

Title: Assistant Professor

Presentation topic: Mere ownership of a self-centrality object enhances one's perceived self-efficacy

 

Descriptions: Vicki received her Ph.D. from the School of Psychological Sciences at the University of Melbourne, Australia. She worked as the Editorial Assistant for the Asian Journal of Social Psychology during her Ph.D study. After graduation, she took up the position of the postdoctoral research fellow at the Centre for Experimental Research in Social Sciences, Hokkaido University, Japan. She obtained the Young Scientist Award for the year of 2009 and 2011 respectively. She also received the Fulbright-RGC Hong Kong Senior Research Scholar Award in 2015. Her research interests include social psychology, social cognition, cross-cultural psychology, consumer psychology, and evolutionary psychology. In this presentation, she will present her latest research findings on mere ownership and self-efficacy

 

5.Dr. Victoria Hui(香港岭南大学应用心理学系)

Title: Senior Lecturer, Department of Applied Psychology, Lingnan University

Presentation topic: Mindfulness

Descriptions: Victoria obtained her Ph.D. from the School of Psychology at University of Southampton, United Kingdom. She joined Lingnan University in August 2012. Her research interest includes religion and spirituality, aging, death and dying attitudes. She is currently teaching a variety of courses on well-being and positive psychology.

 

6.Prof. Zhimin Zou ((中山大学心理学系)

Title: Assistant Professor

Presentation topic: Zhongyong Leadership Behavior: A Moderated Mediation Model on Job Satisfaction

Descriptions: Dr. Zou Zhimin was graduated from Department of Psychology in Peking University in 2009, now is a faculty in Department of Psychology, Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou. Dr. Zou’s main research interests include leadership and multicultural management.

7.Prof. Yuyin Wang(中山大学心理学系)

Title: Assistant Professor

Presentation topic: Diary Study: The Pretective Role of Self-Compassion on Stress-related Poor Sleep Quality

Descriptions: 王雨吟博士毕业于北京大学心理学系临床心理学方向,并于2011年加入中山大学心理学系。主要研究方向为家庭关系对成员身心健康的影响;新型干预方法对个体身心健康的影响等。咨询干预经验超过10年,主要方向为家庭治疗。

8.Prof. Qi Wang(中山大学心理学系)

Title: Assistant Professor

Presentation topic: The effect of nutrition label on nutrition evaluation

Descriptions:  Dr. Qi Wang received her PhD from department of Psychology at Tufts University, US. She joined SYSU in August 2013. Her research is focused on the mechanism of human spatial cognition and applications of relevant theories in the field of human factors.
