报告简介:

Social neuroscience is a rapidly growing field that is providing considerable insight into brain mechanisms of social cognition, social behavior, and social disorders. There is a growing consensus that social cognition emerge from interactions across distributed regions of the “social brain”. Researchers have traditionally focused their attention on the functional specialization of each social brain area and neglected the vital role of network basis for functional integration of social processing. In this talk, I will introduce three different lines of empirical research in clarifying the neuro-architecture and -dynamics of social brain networks. These together highlight the importance and advantages of using network analysis to elucidate the neurobiological mechanisms of social cognition.

题目:Exposure Therapy for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD): Effectiveness, Mechanism, and Improvement(创伤后应激障碍的暴露疗法:效果,机理与改进)

时间:2018年12月17日 (周一,15:30-16:30)

地点:中山大学东校园心理学系(南学院楼C座)305

报告简介:

Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a psychiatric disorder that can occur in people who have experienced or witnessed a traumatic event such as a natural disaster, a serious accident, a terrorist act, war/combat, rape or other violent personal assault. PTSD often co-occurs with other related conditions, such as depression, substance use, memory problems, other physical and mental health functioning impairment, and suicide ideation. In the U.S population, 7-8% of the population will have PTSD at some point in their lives. About 8 million adults have PTSD during a given year. However, PTSD is under-studied in China. In this talk, I would like to introduce a few randomized clinical trials investigating the effectiveness of Exposure Therapy treating PTSD in different populations (e.g., earthquake survivors, military members and civilians) conducted in both China and U.S. Studies investigating the mechanism underline the development of PTSD and treatment process will also be discussed. Furthermore, the first line studies to facilitate the distribution of evidence-based psychological treatments will also be introduced.
