题目：How Self-initiated Social Interaction Change Interpersonal Trust?

    Trust is so important in social interaction that we need to accurately assess the trustworthiness of others. Although people could form a first impression after a quick exposure to the faces, the trust evaluation would always change dynamically during further interaction. Previous work mainly focused on trust change during multi-round economic games in a laboratory setting, but lacking of attention to more real social interaction. In this research, we modified the leading gaze paradigm (Bayliss et al., 2013) in an uncertain decision-making environment to explore how self-initiated social interactions change trust assessment. By manipulating the feedback and others’ followed behaviors, we distinguished four different interactive patterns. As a result, we found that when participants always made correct choices, others’ followed behaviors would increase their trustworthy scores while disagreement would weaken it. However, there was no significant trust change in wrong feedback conditions. When comparing the trust change scores among four different groups, an interactive effect also confirmed this phenomenon. To explore whether those trust changes induced by social interactions would influence their performance in subsequent economic decisions, we added a Trust game in Experiment 2. We not only repeated the discoveries in Experiment 1, but also found the same change patterns in trusting decisions. These results suggested that social interaction could change our judgment of strangers’ trustworthiness as well as the real social decisions in economic environment. The disappearing effect on incorrect feedback conditions also revealed the importance of context in making trust judgement.
